Welcome to Kiko Dog Rescue & Adoptions
At Kiko Dog Rescue and Adoptions, we are dedicated to helping as many homeless dogs as we can, whether they are from a pound, puppy mill or a home surrender. Our goal is to carefully place each and every dog in the loving forever homes they so deserve.
Since we placed our first dog in 2008, more than 2,000 dogs have found new forever homes.
Our dogs are not kept at a shelter. We rely on the generosity of foster families to care for our dogs until they find forever homes. We also rely on the generosity of donations and volunteers to help us survive the financial burdens of a caring operation like ours.
From small to large, puppies to seniors, calm to active, our dogs are patiently waiting for just the right forever home to call their own.
All Kiko dogs receive whatever veterinary care they require, including dentistry and surgery to help correct an uncomfortable or painful medical condition.
We are active in the Greater Montreal and Eastern Ontario areas. We are also open to applicants from other areas willing to drive to the Montreal area.
Temporarily fostering a dog can be a very rewarding experience. Perhaps you miss having the company of a dog at home to walk and care for, but are at a point in your life that cannot accommodate having a dog of your own. We match foster families with dogs the same way we match adopters with dogs, so whether your preference is for large or small, young or old, you'll be able to foster a dog that is compatible with your lifestyle. Expenses, including food, supplies and veterinary care, are provided by Kiko. If you're interested in providing a temporary haven for a dog awaiting a forever home, please complete our Temporary Foster Home Questionnaire and one of our volunteers will be in touch.

We understand that when life circumstances change, this can sometimes mean having to part with a beloved pet. Whatever the reason, our careful approach to adoptions has helped ease the worry of rehoming for many families over the years. If you happen to find yourself in this position, please complete our Surrender Request Form and one of our volunteers will be in touch.

All Kiko dogs have been examined by a veterinarian, vaccinated, dewormed and tested for heartworm (if deemed necessary), microchipped, sterilized, and require an adoption fee of $650, $725 for puppies under a year old, and an adoption contract.
Have something you'd like to donate to Kiko or have a question? Send us an email and one of our volunteers will contact you.
